Dear Valued Patients,
Due to the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and in compliance with the executive order by Governor Ron DeSantis, our office will be closed for all non-essential elective orthodontic procedures through May 8th, 2020. We will be available to take phone calls and text messaging to assist you. Clinically, we will make ourselves available to our patients on an emergency basis for urgent matters involving severe pain or infection resulting from braces or expanders. We will utilize photos taken by you, which can be TEXTED directly to our main office number (813) 929-3361, to decide the level of care necessary. Our texting platform is both secure and HIPPA compliant. Video calls may also be used to help assess your problems, and this platform is also secure and HIPPA compliant.
Our phone assistance hours are from Monday-Thursday 9AM-4PM. Our doors will be locked at all times and “walk-ins” will not be seen. We assure you that our team will attend to all of our patient’s needs whenever possible. The best way to communicate with our office is to utilize our texting platform. During this tough time, we will help a limited number of patients progress through their orthodontic treatment via VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS. We will also continue to offer VIRTUAL CONSULTS for prospective new patients. Here are the three options for appointments:
1) VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS: for current patients. We will contact you to set up a Virtual Appointment where you will either take a few pictures and text them to us or use a video call to help us assess your progress. This is only for patients with Expanders, Facemasks, Invisalign and patients who are currently wearing ELASTICS in braces.
2) VIRTUAL CONSULTS: for new patients. We can help you determine if you are a good candidate for orthodontic treatment. Call our office to set up as a new patient. We will ask you to take a few pictures and text it to us. Dr. Dau will review the information and provide a tentative plan. We can look up your insurance and give you an approximate cost. This will expedite the new patient process once we are able to resume normal orthodontic care.
3) EMERGENCIES: Call or text our office. We may request photos to assess the problem. If warranted, our assistant and/or Dr. Dau will meet you at our office to help resolve your problems.
“Your care is our utmost importance. Together we will get through this difficult time.”
Dr. Steven V. Dau and Dr. Don H. Dau
